All My Friends Are Dead features 11 songs the Consumers recorded in a single evening in early , shortly before they gave up on Phoenix and moved to Los Angeles in hopes of finding more sympathetic ears. (They did find an audience there, but that didn't stop the band from splintering by the end of the year.).

Vinyl LP pressing of these vintage recordings from the Arizona punks. All My Friends Are Dead was the Consumers' 'fuck you' to Phoenix since nearly all their gigs there ended in brawls with long-haired rockers and other redneck gnarlers pounding on the band for daring to play Punk Rock in public in

All of these elements come together to create one hell of a record. If this had come out in '77, you can bet the Germs (musically, not lyrically), Circle Jerks, and Black Flag would all have been deemed copycats. Anybody with a taste for punk rock should try to find this, or order it. I found my copy in a used section.

Jul 22,  · It is long rumored that this LP (which was recorded in ) was originally going to be released by Dangerhouse, but the label declined to release it after the Consumers broke up on stage at the Whisky-a-Go-Go when singer David Wiley stormed off the stage/5(22).
